Overview

  • After the NIA Special Court in Ahmedabad approved the seizure last month, the agency formally attached the properties on August 1, 2025.
  • The attached sites include a 143.96 square metre residence and a 29.59 square metre plot in Ward No. 3 of Bharuch City.
  • Mohammad Yunus alias Manjro was arrested for his alleged role in the November 2015 murders of BJP workers Shirish Bengali and Pragnesh Mistry.
  • Manjro’s lawyer challenged the seizure as excessively delayed, highlighting legal complexities in long-running asset forfeiture proceedings.
  • The NIA said the attachments are essential to disrupting the terror-financing network of Pakistan-based D-Company ahead of further prosecutions.
