NHL Teams Begin Post‑Draft Development Camps Monday

Weeklong development camps let teams evaluate new draftees, returning rookies, invitees prior to NHL free agency.

  • Multiple clubs have announced four-day development camps beginning Monday, June 29 at their training centers in Voorhees, Brighton, and El Segundo to start on-ice work with prospects.
  • The Philadelphia Flyers confirmed their camp runs June 29–July 3 and will bring every member of their 2026 draft class to the Flyers Training Center.
  • Two highly watched Flyers centers, Jack Berglund and Jett Luchanko, will attend the club’s camp but will not take part in on-ice sessions as the team manages their workload.
  • The Boston Bruins said the vast majority of their 2026 draft picks will be at Warrior Ice Arena while the Los Angeles Kings confirmed all of their 2026 selections and top prospects will be at the Toyota Sports Performance Center.
  • Teams will follow a standard format of skills, power skating, 5-on-5 scrimmages, and a closing 3-on-3 tournament with sessions free and open to the public, and clubs using the week to inform roster and development plans before free agency.
