- The NHL named Shero the 2025 Lester Patrick Trophy recipient on Sept. 19, with Commissioner Gary Bettman lauding his team-building and influence on the sport.
- Shero will be recognized during the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame induction celebration on Dec. 10 in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
- As Pittsburgh’s general manager, he assembled the 2009 Stanley Cup champions before leading the Devils and later serving as a senior advisor to the Wild.
