Overview

  • Four of 21 Wayside Amenity Stations are now operational under NHAI’s driver welfare initiative
  • The pilot facility “Apna Ghar” near Dausa, managed by IOCL, provides 35 beds, clean restrooms, bathing spaces, CCTV security and self-cook kitchens for ₹112 per stay including GST
  • Drivers reserve spots through the “Apna Ghar” app with trained petrol-pump staff available to assist and on-site managers to guide first-time users
  • All stations include free Wi-Fi, EV charging points, fuel pumps, on-site restaurants and dedicated parking bays for trucks and buses
  • The scheme aims to curb fatigue-related crashes by providing rest, meals plus support features for truckers on 12- to 14-hour routes
