Overview

• The tender pipeline covers 6,376 km of highways and expressways across India set for award in FY26.
• Of the 124 projects, 80 will follow the hybrid annuity model, 32 will be awarded as EPC contracts and 12 will be offered under BOT concessions.
• HAM projects will see the government provide 40% of construction costs upfront with private developers funding the balance and receiving annuity payments over the concession period.
• Major corridors scheduled for bidding include the 476-km Gorakhpur–Kishanganj–Siliguri route, the 106-km Tharad–Deesa–Mehsana–Ahmedabad package and a 48-km capacity upgrade of the Pampore–Qazigund section of NH-44.
• NHAI published the full project list to reduce developer uncertainty and counter a recent slowdown in awards linked to the end of the Bharatmala programme and a 90% land-acquisition rule.
