Overview

  • NHAI will launch a public InvIT with a minimum subscription of ₹10,000 to ₹15,000 and one-unit trading to enable retail participation in highway assets.
  • It has identified 24 national highway stretches totaling 1,472 km for monetization in fiscal 2025-26 with an expected annual revenue of ₹1,863 crore.
  • The authority plans to offer three Toll-Operate-Transfer bundles per quarter—small (₹2,000 crore), medium (₹5,000 crore) and large (₹9,000 crore)—to appeal to diverse investors.
  • Through ToT, private InvIT and securitization, NHAI has already raised about ₹1.4 lakh crore up to FY2024-25 to fund new infrastructure projects.
  • The strategy aligns with India’s 2025-30 Assets Monetisation Plan under the National Monetisation Pipeline aiming to unlock ₹10 lakh crore from infrastructure assets.
