Overview
- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced that NHAI, through Raj Path Infracon, achieved records for laying 28.95 lane-kilometres and using 10,675 metric tonnes of bituminous concrete within 24 hours.
- The announcement refers to works on the Bengaluru–Kadapa–Vijayawada Economic Corridor (NH-544G) and credits compliance with NHAI quality standards.
- Naidu said two additional Guinness record attempts are targeted by January 11 on Packages 2 and 3 of the corridor.
- A day earlier, district officials inspected NH-544G Package-2 at Puttaparthi, where the contractor outlined a plan to build a continuous 52-km bituminous stretch in seven days.
- Local authorities pledged administrative support and stressed timely delivery and quality as the firm maintains round-the-clock operations with roughly 600 personnel.
