NHAI Says It Sets Two Guinness World Records on BengaluruVijayawada Corridor

The claim cites a 24-hour paving run by Raj Path Infracon on the economic corridor.

Overview

  • Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced that NHAI, through Raj Path Infracon, achieved records for laying 28.95 lane-kilometres and using 10,675 metric tonnes of bituminous concrete within 24 hours.
  • The announcement refers to works on the BengaluruKadapa–Vijayawada Economic Corridor (NH-544G) and credits compliance with NHAI quality standards.
  • Naidu said two additional Guinness record attempts are targeted by January 11 on Packages 2 and 3 of the corridor.
  • A day earlier, district officials inspected NH-544G Package-2 at Puttaparthi, where the contractor outlined a plan to build a continuous 52-km bituminous stretch in seven days.
  • Local authorities pledged administrative support and stressed timely delivery and quality as the firm maintains round-the-clock operations with roughly 600 personnel.
