NHAI Nears Mid-July Launch of 67-Km Delhi-Jaipur Expressway Spur

A safety audit is under way before traffic trials start on the four-lane, access-controlled route that will cut journey times by about an hour.

Overview

  • Construction wrapped up at ₹1,368 crore over 2.5 years.
  • Four-lane, access-controlled design bypasses NH-44, shortening the route by roughly 12 km.
  • An interchange at Bandikui will link the spur directly to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, allowing seamless route changes.
  • Operational by mid-July, the corridor is expected to cut Delhi-Jaipur travel to about 3–3¼ hours from around four hours today.
  • NHAI plans to add a toll-saving feature to its Rajmargyatra app and study a greenfield expressway to connect Jaipur with the Delhi-Agra corridor.
