NHAI Clears Two-Loop Flyover Plan to Decongest Kalindi Kunj

The design channels through-traffic onto flyover loops so the ground junction can serve local vehicles more smoothly.

Overview

  • National Highways Authority of India approved a Detailed Project Report for an interchange that will make the Kalindi Kunj crossing signal-free.
  • One loop will let drivers from Noida turn left toward Faridabad and the Mumbai Expressway without entering the junction.
  • The other loop will carry vehicles from Faridabad and the Mumbai Expressway directly to Okhla Barrage Road toward Noida.
  • The existing intersection will stay open and get targeted widening and upgrades so local traffic can move with fewer stops.
  • Officials have not announced a start or completion date, with the project moving into implementation planning after joint meetings between Delhi and Noida traffic police and NHAI.
