Overview
- Work is underway to expand the left‑hand carriageway towards Gurugram from two lanes to four at the start of the Parade Road underpass.
- Space for the added lanes is being created by relocating a drain, a peripheral road and parts of the Air Force Station boundary.
- A new foot overbridge is planned near Subroto Park at the start of the RTR flyover to improve pedestrian safety and connectivity.
- An upgraded drainage system will speed disposal of rain and surface water to reduce waterlogging on the stretch.
- Traffic marshals, tow‑away cranes and safety cones will manage vehicles during construction, alongside pollution controls such as tree transplantation, anti‑smog guns and water sprinklers.
