Overview
- Users select Add Pass in the app, enter the recipient’s vehicle number and contact details, then confirm via OTP to activate the pass on that vehicle’s FASTag.
- A one-time ₹3,000 payment grants one year of use or 200 crossings, with acceptance at about 1,150 toll plazas for private non-commercial vehicles.
- Activation typically completes within two hours, and once the limit is reached the FASTag automatically returns to pay-per-trip; trip counting differs between point and closed ticketed systems.
- Payment must be made through UPI, debit or credit cards, or net banking, as FASTag wallet balances are not eligible for purchasing the pass.
- Officials cite over 25 lakh users and roughly 5.67 crore transactions since the August 15 launch, noting validity only at National Highway and National Expressway fee plazas and advising chassis-only FASTags be updated with full registration details.
