  • He officiated at two FIFA World Cups, handling MexicoBelgium and the EnglandWest Germany quarterfinal in 1970 and closing his career with Germany–Poland at the 1978 tournament in Buenos Aires.
  • Born in Buenos Aires in 1933, he debuted in Argentina’s top flight in 1957 and represented the country as a referee at the Rome 1960 Olympics.
  • After retiring, he led the AFA referees’ school (1979–1992), managed AFA facilities (1995–2002), and later served as an advisor while also working with Adidas.
  • In 2017 he was removed from his AFA role during a leadership change, later winning a court ruling in his favor over the dismissal.
