Ngannou Sidesteps White’s Claim, Says PFL Deal Ends Before UFC White House Card

The expiring deal makes a UFC return at the White House plausible despite his refusal to revisit Dana White’s accusation.

Overview

  • Dana White recently alleged on the Flagrant podcast that Francis Ngannou grabbed him and UFC executive Hunter Campbell during a past dispute, a claim that has not been corroborated.
  • Speaking to Ariel Helwani, Ngannou neither confirmed nor denied the allegation, called the fallout “quite disappointing,” and noted there would be cameras in White’s office while saying he is not inviting any footage release.
  • Ngannou said his PFL contract is ending soon and will lapse before the UFC’s planned White House event, adding he expects an MMA offer and that “anything can happen” regarding a return.
  • He expressed interest in a Jon Jones matchup at the White House card but described it as complicated and said he is not confident it will be made.
  • Since leaving the UFC in January 2023, Ngannou has fought once in PFL (a first-round stoppage of Renan Ferreira in October 2024) and boxed Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, and he also named Deontay Wilder as a preferred boxing opponent.
