Overview

General Manager Chetan Kumar Shrivastava reviewed key stretches including Tindharia–Rongtong and Ghum–Sonada, assessing ongoing works and safety protocols.
He commissioned newly built diesel locomotives No. 606 and No. 607 during the inspection.
The extensively upgraded Ghum Museum was opened, with plans announced to add interactive and immersive exhibits.
Upgraded Kurseong Archives were unveiled to improve access for residents, researchers, tourists, and heritage enthusiasts.
Shrivastava flagged off the centenary run of steam locomotive 806B “Queen of the Hills” and directed improvements to passenger amenities and maintenance practices.
