The program involves networking opportunities such as breakfast and lunch meetings, and mixers, allowing candidates to meet different owners.
Carthon, who attended the program as San Francisco's director of player personnel, was hired by the Titans after brief conversations with team president Burke Nihill and senior vice president Adolpho Birch III.
The Titans are sending assistant director for pro scouting Kevin Turks to the upcoming accelerator program, while 11 other teams are sending two representatives.
Tony Dews, who was sent to the program by the Titans, believes it works and is thankful for the NFL's efforts to improve diversity.
