Piazza, a member of the chain crew, was attended to by medical staff on the field and later taken to the hospital.
The incident occurred when Kamara was tackled close to the sideline and collided with Piazza.
The game was paused for several minutes while Piazza was attended to, and the chain crew operated with one fewer member for the rest of the game.
Piazza is expected to undergo surgery and is currently in stable condition.
