NFL, players union reach deal to preserve disability benefits

  • Players deemed disabled by the Social Security Administration can retain NFL disability payments.
  • Players will be re-evaluated in 2026 to determine continued eligibility.
  • Going forward, NFL benefits will be reduced by government disability amounts.
