NFL Names Germany’s Felix Lepper to 2026 International Player Pathway Program

The 23-year-old Hamburg Sea Devils tackle now enters the Florida training pipeline that showcases international prospects to NFL teams.

Overview

  • He is one of 13 athletes selected for the 2026 IPP cohort announced on December 15.
  • IPP participants will train for about ten weeks in Florida starting in January before a Pro Day evaluation for NFL scouts.
  • The program, launched in 2017, offers a practice-squad exemption that can ease a player’s path onto an NFL roster.
  • Lepper began in 2019 with the Göttingen Generals and progressed through Fork Union Military Academy, Leipzig Kings, and Berlin Thunder before joining Hamburg in 2024.
  • After his selection, Lepper said his goal is the NFL, recounting that he received the call while changing trains, as Germany continues to place players through the IPP.
