Overview

  • The Office for Product Safety and Standards confirmed that the draw cords on Miss Summer garments violate the General Product Safety Regulations 2005 and present strangulation, entrapment and choking hazards.
  • Next pulled specific printed Boho and patchwork summer dresses and knit top, shorts and headband sets from sale, listing item numbers F83773, F83782, F83775, F83791, F83779, F83781 and F85623.
  • Matalan expanded the recall to eight Miss-branded items sold between April 11 and June 2, publishing product IDs including S3131522_CJ88 and S3131515_C128.
  • Both retailers have removed all recalled pieces from their websites and stores, with purchase links now returning error messages.
  • Customers are told to stop using affected items immediately and return them for full refunds either in store, via arranged home collection or by creating a Royal Mail returns label.
