Nexon's 'The First Descendant' Set for Summer 2024 Release

Following a successful open beta with two million participants, the free-to-play looter shooter will launch on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC with improved gameplay and features.

The First Descendant, a free-to-play third-person looter shooter from Nexon, is set for a full release in Summer 2024 on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.
The game features unique characters, known as Descendants, each with distinct abilities and movesets, who defend the planet from invaders called Colossi.
The game's recent crossplay open beta drew in nearly two million participants, encouraging the developers to refine gameplay and add enhancements like more mission variety, improved UI, and better graphics.
The exact release date is yet to be announced, but it is expected to be between June and August, with a possible stretch from May to September.
The developers have pledged to improve co-op features, including matchmaking support for dungeons, and weapon loadouts.
