News Group Loses Bid to Dismiss Hugh Grant's Phone Hacking Lawsuit Against The Sun

A London court rejected The Sun tabloid's attempt to dismiss actor Hugh Grant's lawsuit alleging illegal snooping.
Grant's case against News Group Newspapers, owner of The Sun, will proceed to trial in January to determine if the tabloid carried out unlawful information gathering like tapping Grant's phone, bugging his car, and breaking into his home.
While Grant's phone hacking claims were dismissed, other allegations will be heard at trial.
The ruling did not address Prince Harry's claims that Buckingham Palace prevented him from bringing phone hacking charges against News Group sooner due to a secret deal.
News Group denied all unlawful information gathering allegations in Grant's remaining claims.
