Overview

  • As of August 18, six student visa types route applicants to the ADEPT online form: English language, exchange, fee‑paying, pathway, New Zealand Government Scholarship, and foreign government supported.
  • Applications submitted on the old form by August 17 will be processed without resubmission, with continued access to upload documents and respond to requests.
  • Draft applications on the old form must be lodged by September 17 or they will be deleted, after which a new application must be started on ADEPT.
  • Paper submissions for those student visas stop on September 18, with only online applications accepted from that date.
  • Immigration New Zealand reports peak volumes and advises applying at least three months before intended travel to avoid delays.
