New York woman sentenced to 21 years for poisoning friend to steal identity

Viktoria Nasyrova was sentenced to 21 years in prison for attempting to kill her friend by lacing her cheesecake with a powerful toxin.
Nasyrova physically resembled the victim and wanted to steal her identity to avoid returning to Russia where she is wanted for murder.
The victim survived but lost her passport, employment card, and other valuables in the theft.
DNA evidence on the cheesecake box proved Nasyrova tried to kill the victim.
