New York Jets Expand Search for GM and Head Coach with Multiple Interviews

The Jets interviewed five new GM candidates and Saints interim coach Darren Rizzi as the team seeks to fill key leadership roles.

The Jets conducted interviews with five new general manager candidates, including Ryan Grigson, Chris Spielman, Darren Mougey, Trey Brown, and Lance Newmark.
This brings the total number of GM candidates interviewed to 13, following the November firing of former GM Joe Douglas.
Saints interim head coach Darren Rizzi also interviewed for the Jets' head coaching vacancy, making him the eighth known candidate for the role.
Rizzi, a New Jersey native, has extensive coaching experience, including leading the Saints to a 3-5 record as interim head coach and a long tenure as a special teams coordinator.
The Jets are expected to continue their search, with potential second-round interviews for GM candidates and virtual interviews with playoff team coaches beginning soon.
