New York Hospital Sued for Ignoring Serial Abuser Doctor for Over a Decade

Mount Sinai Beth Israel hospital in New York City is being sued for ignoring a physician's sexual abuse of patients.
Dr. Ricardo Cruciani was a serial abuser who was not reported to law enforcement or licensing authorities for over a decade.
The hospital allegedly turned a blind eye to Cruciani's abuse because his pain practice generated a lot of money.
At least 13 patients reported Cruciani's misconduct to various staff members and officials at the hospital, but the hospital concealed and covered up multiple complaints about Cruciani’s misconduct.
The lawsuit was filed by 19 former patients under New York's Adult Survivors Act.
