New York Giants' Graham Gano Out For Season Due to Knee Surgery, Replacements Cade York and Randy Bullock Added to Squad
Gano's Injury Comes After Missed Field Goals; Giants to Test Abilities of York and Bullock Before Deciding on Sunday's Starter.
- New York Giants placekicker, Graham Gano, will undergo surgery on his left knee for a season-ending injury and is now placed on the injured reserve list.
- The Giants have since signed replacements Cade York, previously on the Tennessee Titans' practice squad, and veteran Randy Bullock, to their squad.
- Before sidelining due to the injury, Gano achieved a success rate of approximately 90% in his field goal attempts since joining the Giants as a free agent in 2020, but was only 11 from 17 this season, missing three of his last four kicks.
- The Giants will review the performances of York and Bullock in practice before making a decision on who will kick at Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
- In the previous preseason, York was 4 out of 8 in field goals while Bullock, during his last season with the Titans, successfully made 17 out of 20 field goals and all 28 PATs in 15 games.
