Overview

• The first trailer introduces a misdirected road trip by a high-school garage band, led by Mason Thames with Mckenna Grace and Fred Armisen among the ensemble.
• The film will have its world premiere on September 12 at the Toronto International Film Festival.
• Billie Joe Armstrong, Tré Cool and Mike Dirnt appear in the movie and developed it with Live Nation Productions, including a staged Palladium concert filmed with Green Day fans as extras.
• Director Lee Kirk says the soundtrack features selections from Saviors plus “Last Night on Earth,” “Know Your Enemy,” “American Idiot” and “Time of Your Life.”
• Armstrong says his son Jakob wrote most of the fictional band’s original songs and co-wrote one with him.
