New Summer Guides Spotlight Regina and Saskatoon Attractions

The guides showcase established landmarks alongside newly highlighted seasonal events across the province’s two largest cities.

  • Andrew Hiltz’s Regina guide published July 23 highlights Wascana Park’s four-kilometre lake loop with canoe and kayak rentals, the l SaskSaskatchewan Museum’s Scotty the T. rex exhibit, a self-guided craft brewery circuit and immersive dining spots.
  • StarPhoenix reporter Aidan Jaager’s “Love Where We Live” Saskatoon list released July 24 features Wanuskewin Heritage Park’s Indigenous exhibits, the Saskatoon EX fair (July 31–Aug. 7) with Metric, High Valley and Loverboy, and family attractions like Nutrien Playland.
  • The Saskatoon guide also details upcoming Food Truck Wars and the sixth annual YXE Beer Wars (July 25–27) near Holy Cross High School, the Rock the River festival at Delta Bessborough Gardens (Aug. 16–18) and the Fringe Festival in Broadway (July 31–Aug. 9).
  • A weekend spotlight for Regina (July 25–27) promotes the Saskatchewan Roughriders’ Christmas-theme night at Mosaic Stadium with a pre-game ‘Party in the Park’, improv theatre at the Unitarian Centre and a Bluey Block Party in the Grasslands neighbourhood.
  • Both guides are part of Saskatchewan’s provincial summer series aimed at boosting domestic travel through curated cultural, recreational and culinary experiences in Regina and Saskatoon.
