Overview

  • R3 service was suspended between Parets del Vallès and Granollers Canovelles due to a catenary fault, with trains from L'Hospitalet canceled and passengers directed to R2 Nord at Granollers Centre.
  • Renfe deployed replacement buses between Parets del Vallès and Les Franqueses del Vallès to cover the interrupted section of the R3.
  • A separate breakdown between Cunit and Cubelles was moved to Sant Vicenç de Calders, passengers were evacuated, and single-track operations caused delays on R2 Sud and R13–R17 that in some cases exceeded 30 minutes.
  • Protecció Civil activated the Ferrocat pre-alert for the incident near Cunit, later confirmed the evacuation was complete, and reported service between Sant Vicenç and Cunit was recovering progressively.
  • The fresh disruption followed a catenary fall that had already cut the R3 from Saturday afternoon until 8:00 Sunday, as user groups decried negligence and warned about a 16‑month R3 closure scheduled from 27 September while Junts demanded a full transfer of Rodalies.
