New Professional Women's Hockey League to launch inaugural season in January with training camps underway

The PWHL's first season will begin in January 2024 with teams finalizing rosters after November training camps.
Several top women's hockey players like Hilary Knight, Kendall Coyne-Schofield, and Marie-Philip Poulin have joined PWHL teams.
The new Boston franchise has acquired notable players including Aerin Frankel, Alina Müller, and Loren Gabel.
Rosters will be trimmed from 184 players down to 27 players per team by November 29th.
The regular season schedule and playoff format are still to be announced.
