Overview

• The American Theatre Wing held its 2025 fall gala on September 8 at Cipriani 42nd Street honoring the “Unsung Heroes of the Theatre Industry.”
• The concert featured Sara Bareilles, Shoshana Bean, Bernadette Peters, André De Shields, Robyn Hurder, Krysta Rodriguez, Francis Jue, Jennifer Simard, and Myles Frost.
• Each artist dedicated a performance to behind-the-scenes colleagues such as dressers, swings and understudies, and makeup artists.
• New photo galleries from BroadwayWorld (September 9) and Playbill (September 10) showcase attendees including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Kristin Chenoweth, LaChanze, and LaTanya Richardson Jackson.
• Benjamin Rauhala served as musical director, Celia Keenan-Bolger made a special appearance, and proceeds support initiatives including the Gavin Creel Fellowships, the Andrew Lloyd Webber Initiative, the Jonathan Larson Grants, National Theatre Company Grants, The Playreaders Club, and Working in the Theatre.
