Overview
- The national deal, signed in Milan by Filcams Cgil, Fisascat Cisl, Uiltucs, Federcolf, Fidaldo and Domina, takes effect on 1 November 2025 and covers about 817,000 domestic-care workers.
- Base pay at the BS level increases by 100 euros a month at regime, phased in as 40 euros from January 2026, 30 from January 2027, and 15 euros each from January and September 2028, alongside a 135.75-euro inflation catch-up for 2021–2025.
- The annual revaluation of minimum rates rises to 90% of the ISTAT index, up from 80%, accelerating future adjustments tied to inflation.
- The contract introduces paid leave to care for relatives with severe disabilities and strengthens maternity and paternity rights, extending protections long absent in the sector.
- Families face monthly cost increases that can exceed 230 euros for full-time arrangements, partly offset by existing deductions and 2025 budget supports such as the baby-sitter bonus and contributory credits.
