New Mother Elina Svitolina Wins First WTA Title Since Giving Birth

Elina Svitolina won her first WTA title in nearly two years at the Internationaux de Strasbourg.
She defeated Anna Blinkova 6-2, 6-3 in the final after taking a year off to have her daughter.
Svitolina became a mother in October 2021 and returned to the tour in April 2022.
Currently ranked No. 508, Svitolina is the lowest-ranked woman to win a tour title since Kim Clijsters at the 2009 U.S. Open.
Svitolina will now compete in the French Open after winning the clay-court title in Strasbourg.
