New Mexico Teen Arrested for Killing Four Family Members

Diego Leyva, 16, called 911 early Saturday morning to confess to killing his parents and two teenage siblings in their home in Belen, New Mexico.
Police found four victims, identified as Leonardo Leyva (42), Adriana Bencomo (35), Adrian Leyva (16), and Alexander Leyva (14), all deceased from gunshot wounds.
Leyva was reportedly intoxicated at the time of his arrest and surrendered to police without incident; a handgun was recovered from the scene.
The teenager has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder and is being held at a juvenile detention center in Albuquerque following medical detoxification.
Authorities are investigating the motive behind the killings, while the local community and schools are offering counseling services to those affected.
