New Latter-day Saint Hymn Batch Adds 12 Songs, Including President Nelson’s ‘Our Prayer to Thee’

The collection is being released in phased digital batches across multiple languages ahead of a mid-2027 print edition.

Overview

  • Thursday’s fifth release brings the total to 60 songs available in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.
  • An additional 15 hymns were published in German, Korean and Tagalog, raising those language totals to 37.
  • The new set blends global and familiar pieces, including a Tongan hymn, a German children’s song, and the spirituals Stand by Me and Go Tell It on the Mountain.
  • Our Prayer to Thee features lyrics written by Russell M. Nelson, first published in 2003 and later performed by the Tabernacle Choir in 2018 and 2022.
  • Songs are available in the Church’s online Music Library, Gospel Library and Sacred Music app, with a playlist feature coming to Gospel Library in October and the Sacred Music app scheduled to retire in January 2026.
