New Jersey Teen Arrested for Hidden Camera in Mall Restroom

Andy Cardenas, 18, faces invasion of privacy charges after allegedly filming women and minors at Newport Centre Mall.

A hidden camera was discovered in a JC Penney restroom at Newport Centre Mall, leading to the arrest of Andy Cardenas.
Cardenas allegedly recorded approximately 35 videos of adult women and four videos of minors using the restroom.
The footage also included a video of a man and woman engaging in sexual acts, and Cardenas setting up the device.
Authorities are seeking public assistance to identify additional restroom locations from the footage.
Cardenas is scheduled to appear in court on October 22, 2024, following his release on a summons.
