Overview
- Under the consent order, DuPont, Chemours and Corteva will pay $875 million over 25 years for natural resource and other damages.
- The settlement resolves all legacy PFAS contamination claims at Pompton Lakes Works, Parlin, Repauno and Chambers Works sites.
- Cleanup work is scheduled to begin once a federal court approves the agreement.
- Portions of the remediation fund will support public and private well owners and local governments in addressing PFAS in drinking water.
- Combined with earlier settlements with 3M and Solvay, New Jersey’s total PFAS recoveries now approach $3 billion.
