New Jersey Lt. Gov. Sheila Oliver dies at 71 after brief hospitalization

Lt. Gov. Sheila Oliver of New Jersey passed away at 71 after being hospitalized for an undisclosed medical issue.
Oliver was the first Black woman to serve as Speaker of the New Jersey General Assembly and as lieutenant governor.
She was serving as acting governor while Gov. Phil Murphy was on vacation in Italy.
After Oliver's hospitalization, Senate President Nicholas Scutari became the acting governor.
Murphy is returning early from vacation and will appoint a new lieutenant governor within 45 days.
