Robert Coppotelli, a 27-year-old business owner from Toms River, New Jersey, was arrested for his involvement in the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021.
Coppotelli was identified and charged thanks to his jacket, which bore his name, phone number, and the logo of his business, Coppotelli Heavy Equipment Sales & Services, Inc.
He faces four misdemeanor counts for unlawfully entering the Capitol, with the goal of disrupting the session of Congress.
Over 1,300 people have been arrested in connection with the insurrection, with around 900 having pleaded guilty or been convicted at trial.
Coppotelli's arrest highlights the ongoing efforts to hold participants of the Capitol riot accountable.
