Netflix has released new images from its upcoming live-action adaptation of 'Avatar: The Last Airbender', set to premiere on February 22, 2024.
The images reveal the characters Aang, Azula, Suki, Prince Zuko, The Mechanist, Gran Gran, Jet, and June.
The series is a reimagining of the original animated series, following Aang as he learns to master the four elements to restore balance to a world threatened by the Fire Nation.
Showrunner Albert Kim has stated that the live-action series will have some differences from the original animated series, but will still tell the same story.
The team behind the Netflix adaptation purposefully avoided watching the 2010 live-action film adaptation of 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' directed by M. Night Shyamalan, which was widely criticized.
