Overview
- DHHS says two people with active tuberculosis were infectious while in Manchester and Nashua, prompting targeted outreach.
- Potential exposures occurred at 1269 Café in Manchester from Jan. 1 to March 1, 2025; the Loads of Love event at Wash Street Laundromat on Mondays and Thursdays from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. between Jan. 1 and July 17, 2025; and the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections from April 16–25 and May 9–Aug. 15, 2025.
- These are the second and third active TB cases identified in the Merrimack Valley since spring following a March case and five latent infections found after subsequent testing.
- Health officials are working with Manchester and Nashua partners to notify contacts but caution they might not reach everyone who was present at the public locations.
- Testing is available through primary care or at Manchester Health Department (603-624-6466), the MHD Outreach Van on Wednesdays 9 a.m.–noon through Oct. 29 at 45 Orange St., and Nashua Division of Public Health (603-589-4512, Option 2); people with prolonged cough, night sweats, fever, or unexplained weight loss should call 603-271-4496.
