New Emoji Proposals Include Bigfoot and Ballet Dancer

These proposed emoji are part of the Unicode 17 recommendations, which also include an orca, a distorted face, and a trombone.
The approval process for new emoji is lengthy, involving both the Unicode Consortium and individual tech companies like Apple.
If approved, the new emoji could be available on devices like iPhones and iPads by late 2025 or early 2026.
Apple is also introducing Genmoji, customizable emoji generated based on user input, although these are not cross-platform compatible.
