Overview
- Documents released on Nov. 12 by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee include an Epstein email to Peter Mandelson dated Nov. 6, 2016 saying, “63 years old. You made it.”
- Follow-up messages show Epstein writing “In the Donald white house,” two days before the 2016 U.S. election, after Mandelson mentioned spending more time in the United States.
- Epstein also wrote, “you were right about staying away from Andrew,” and referenced Mandelson’s partner, interpreted as Reinaldo Avila da Silva.
- The new material extends known contact beyond earlier reports that communications continued only until 2010.
- Mandelson was dismissed as UK ambassador in September over earlier leaked emails, and Prime Minister Keir Starmer has since ruled out any future government role as MPs press for disclosure of vetting information.
