New DNA Testing Completed in JonBenét Ramsey Case

New DNA testing has been completed on previously untested crime scene evidence in the JonBenét Ramsey case, a 27-year-old murder mystery that has captivated the nation.
The Boulder Police Department, in collaboration with the FBI, the District Attorney’s Office, the Colorado Department of Public Safety and Colorado’s Bureau of Investigation, is reexamining the case with the hope of identifying the killer.
The evidence, which includes some previously examined and some new pieces, was sent to the lab two months ago and the results have now been returned to authorities, though they have not yet been released.
The new DNA testing is seen as a positive development for JonBenét's family, who were under suspicion for 12 years despite previous evidence excluding them as suspects.
JonBenét's father, John Ramsey, has expressed hope in the new testing and praised the Boulder Police Department for their commitment to solving the case.
