New ‘Avatar Legends’ 2D Fighting Game Targets Summer 2026 Release

The pre-alpha reveal spotlights hand-drawn 2D combat built on a movement-focused Flow System.

  • Nickelodeon announced the one-on-one fighter at New York Comic Con’s 20th-anniversary panel for Avatar, where original cast members and a co-creator appeared.
  • The game is planned for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam, with crossplay support and an emphasis on strong online netcode.
  • A 12-character launch roster features series favorites such as Aang, Katara, Sokka, Zuko, Azula, Toph and Korra, with additional fighters to arrive through a seasonal model.
