New Arrest in 2020 Berlin Pastor Murder Case

A suspect extradited from Romania faces charges of murder and robbery in the killing of a Berlin pastor.

The Berlin prosecutor's office has charged a 30-year-old man with murder and robbery after his extradition from Romania.
The suspect is accused of participating in a 2020 home invasion that resulted in the death of a 77-year-old former pastor in Berlin-Moabit.
Three other individuals have already been convicted in connection with the crime, receiving sentences ranging from eight to eleven and a half years.
The group allegedly targeted the pastor under the belief that he was wealthy, leading to the fatal robbery.
The investigation revealed that a tip from an acquaintance of the victim led the perpetrators to the pastor's residence.
