- State highlights included macabre in Nevada, paczki in Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin, and Worcestershire sauce in Alabama, North Dakota, and Rhode Island.
- Qatar topped searches in Utah as well as Colorado and Maine, and the broader lists mixed foods, foreign names, and technical terms such as charcuterie, tzatziki, Nguyen, and staphylococcal.
- The company attributed the patterns to English spelling irregularities and cultural exposure, citing research that spelling matches sound roughly 75% of the time and that more than 60% of English speakers report regular mispronunciations.
