New AirTag Case Promises 10-Year Battery Life with AA Batteries

Elevation Lab's TimeCapsule case offers extended battery life, waterproofing, and added durability for Apple's AirTag trackers.

The TimeCapsule case replaces the AirTag's standard CR2032 coin battery with two AA batteries, extending battery life from one year to an estimated ten years.
Designed by Elevation Lab, the case is made from fiber-reinforced polycarbonate and features IP69 waterproofing, offering protection against water, dust, and dirt.
The case is ideal for outdoor and rugged use, such as tracking vehicles, boats, or luggage, and camouflages the AirTag to resemble a small external storage device.
While it maintains Bluetooth and Ultra-Wideband signal strength, the case increases the AirTag's weight significantly and muffles its audible chirp by about one-third.
TimeCapsule is available for purchase starting at $19.99, with users needing to supply their own AA batteries, such as the recommended Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries for optimal performance.
