These 'fake electors' signed certificates falsely attesting that Donald Trump had won Nevada, in an attempt to undermine Biden's victory.
The investigation is part of a wider scrutiny of similar cases in several swing states won by Biden, including Georgia, Michigan, and Arizona.
Among those who served as false electors in Nevada are current state GOP chairman Michael McDonald and national party committee member Jim DeGraffenreid.
Charges against so-called fake electors have already been brought in Georgia and Michigan, while Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes confirmed last week they are being investigated in her state.
