• Head coach Jordi Fernandez said Powell has completed the non-contact portion of practice and is close to beginning contact drills.
• Demin is rehabbing a plantar fascia tear, remains behind Powell, and is limited to shooting and non-contact work as the team holds off on a firm return date.
• Powell has been managing left knee tendinopathy since the summer and was seen active in defensive drills during early camp sessions.
• The Nets are targeting a full group for the Oct. 22 opener in Charlotte, and Haywood Highsmith said he expects to be ready after offseason surgery.
